Hi, I’m Larry Hong. I’m a Korean-American tutor with more than 10 years of experience teaching students to become better prepared not only for the next test but also for the years ahead. I have an honors degree in Neuroscience from Brown University and teach in the greater Los Angeles area, mentoring and guiding students who have attended schools such as La Cañada Public High School and Harvard Westlake.
I provide one-on-one personalized long-term tutoring for students who need help building better study habits, organizational skills, and critical-thinking fundamentals. My philosophy is that better results come from understanding, not just repeated memorization.
With an attention to detail and the right guidance, I believe that all students have the ability to find the motivation to succeed. I recognize each of my students are unique, and I make sure that my teaching focuses on areas for growth that create breakthrough moments.
